Karl Denninger is a man whom I deeply respect for his frank discussions and honesty. I've been reading his Market-Ticker blog since late 2008, and I think he has a wonderful grasp on both the macro and micro economic realities facing us all. He is unique in that he doesn't just complain about the issues; he actually proposes workable solutions any layman could implement.
His view of most government entities in the United States today is that they all believe to some extent in unicorns that can crap skittles. The reason for this visual masterpiece is that almost every public body is in complete denial about the steps they need to take in order to get their fiscal houses in order. They think if they just visualize a recovery long enough, one will magically appear. Sorry, no dice people. Time to get off the stupid train and start facing reality.
