Yesterday, I reported how Wisconsin's Demublican representatives fled the state to avoid a vote to reduce collective bargaining agreements for a number of public unions.
Today, things are really heating up, with as many as 25,000 teachers and their supporters showing up to the state capitol, holding up signs of Hitler and Mubarak to show just what they think of leadership.
President Obama, never one to try to solve his own problems (like a 2 trillion dollar deficit), decided to throw his towel in the ring:
"Obama accused Scott Walker, the state's new Republican governor, of unleashing an "assault" on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would change future collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers." (Washington Post)
Mr. President, I don't think you're going to get these guys to come to the White House and share a beer. This is a state matter, and you'd best be served to focus on your own problems.
